I know, they say, is the birth of Jesus that no one really knows when, but many traditions revolve around Christmas (the Christmas tree, decorations, so that) the toes, they are all ancient pagan traditions that we as Christians should do not try?

Technically, you're right, and I always wondered how to celebrate one days is not the day Jesus was born,
ReplyDelete(and call it his birthday) and what is even stranger that people all over the world celebrate Christmas on different days of the year and the tree, and what makes these things fun, but it has nothing to do with Jesus or Christianity.
Christmas is a Christian - yes. Therefore, the "Christ" at the beginning of the name. (and why Christmas should be written in capital letters)
ReplyDeleteHowever, we could not celebrate Christmas tree and decoration ... It's just nice to continue the tradition.
There is nothing wrong with having a tree and decorations, but if you are a Christian, as all this to celebrate the birth of Christ anyway. (like other decorations) celebrate occasions. Even if we do not know the current date.
Tradition is not something wrong - is the sense of tradition that makes the difference. There is nothing wrong with putting a tree in the room - if you can not worship a pagan god. Many traditions, including those connected with God has developed from the traditions of people of other religions. For example, the star of David (all Christians in Jesus Jew first!) The amounts derived from the combination of pagan symbols for men and women. There is nothing wrong with the celebration of the feast of the holiday season, as long as the reason for the season always is remembered and celebrated as well.
ReplyDeleteMost of the items you mentioned are, culturally. Christianity can and to change cultural traditions without conflict, if it is the importance of different now. In fact, in many cases, missionaries, I saw some local customs such as "imperfect" reflections of Christian truth. By realigning the practice of Christ, we have found a new meaning.
ReplyDeleteComments Mello in this area as the language of "broken" mirror. First, before the case was a picture of the relationship with God. The case went. God through Jesus has been restored, and we as disciples of the conference rooms of her as we talk to people and help bring the image or restore.
Merry Christmas!
Jesus knows our hearts and intentions behind our celebrations to know when you will see, therefore, certain traditions, others who follow the Christian faith, then your heart is the right place. Enjoy the time you have the celebration of his birth, crucifixion and resurrection from the dead, and reminded every day that us that he lived and died for you. This is the season for joy and blessed by the love of family and friends, he came to earth for a purpose.
ReplyDeleteIt is a solemn religious celebration of Christmas is part and less religious, festive party. Most people choose to celebrate both. Why not enjoy the beauty of the Christmas party with musical entertainment. The pagan traditions are paid only if they are used as such.
